Your files

Every tool on imgtogif — converting, resizing, cropping, captioning, merging, splitting — runs as JavaScript inside your own browser tab. Files you open here are read by your device and never transmitted to our servers or anyone else's. We could not see them if we wanted to; the architecture does not include an upload path.

What the site itself collects

The site sets no tracking cookies and has no accounts. Like almost every website, it is served through a content delivery network (Cloudflare), whose edge servers see standard connection metadata — IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp — in order to deliver the pages. Those logs are retained per Cloudflare's own policies and are not used by us to profile anyone.

Advertising

The site is ad-supported. If and when ads are shown, the ad network (Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where consented. Where required by law, a consent notice will appear before any such cookie is set. You can decline personalized ads there or through your Google ad settings.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this page with an updated date. Questions about privacy can be raised through the site's public repository, linked from the source code of every page.
