Extract frames from a GIF as PNG

Each frame is decoded and composited exactly as a viewer would show it — frame disposal and transparency are resolved first — then saved as a lossless PNG at the GIF's full dimensions. What you download is what was on screen, pixel for pixel.

Remove frames to shrink or smooth a GIF

Excluding frames is the fastest way to cut file size without touching dimensions or colors: click away every other frame of an over-long recording, then rebuild. The rebuilt GIF keeps each kept frame's original delay, so the pacing of what remains is unchanged.

Split a GIF into parts

Splitting cuts the frame list into two, three or four contiguous chunks and encodes each as its own looping GIF, packed into a single zip. Useful when a platform caps frame counts, or when one long recording is really two reactions. To keep just one continuous range instead, the GIF Cutter is the quicker tool.
